So?mash!, a hip pop electro soul duo, brings an air of freshness with their formula: micro samples, breaks and beats harmonized by Sorhum, all enfolded by the haunting voice of Mash Puppit, drifting between flow and melody.
These two curious and energetic artists draw on their sundry experiences in musical composition to propose an original universe, while comming closer to the pop formats of current music. In 2002 they brought out their first self-produced EP (in cd and digital) "Erasing Frustrations" remixed by MC2, Meisterfackt and M. Sayyid (Anti Pop Consortium) .They shared the stage notably with Bonobo, Speech Debelle, Belleruche, Naïve New Beaters, Chinese Man, Hockey...
Mash Puppit (Andréa Ferro) author, singer. In 2009 she received her national diploma in plastic arts at the acoustics studio of the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts of Marseilles where she works on sound installation, photography, video and painting. Her eclectic course in the world of art allows her to hold exibitions of painting, photo as well as performances and sonor pieces ( mix mash-up, compilations and radio programs for Radiodiction and Radiochantier).
In 2008 she organizes and sings, accompanied by DJ's (electro, techno, booty-break, house), in the "Frequency" soirées at Vinyl in Montréal. Her voice is also present in other projects such as Nothing to Scratch, Tambour Battant and Markovo.
Sorhum (Mathieu Hours) : composer, muscian. Sound engineer by formation (School of Audio Engineering in Paris from 2001 to 2003 ), he attended courses of electroacoustic music in the Conservatoire National de Region de Marseille directed by Pascal Gobin since september 2003, and obtained a first prize in 2008. He was invited to participate in the 13th Biennale des Jeunes Créateurs and Artists of Europe and the Mediterranean (Bari, 2008) with "Octo" solo project of acousmatic music. He composes and interprets , in the "Slow Flow" project, electro poetry. He is also composer of music for live shows (theatre, dance, circus ) with different companies (L'Autre Compagnie, Collectif KO.com, Karacena).
